Frequently asked questions
Before you book
We’re based in Agnes Water and the Town of 1770, Queensland, the closest mainland departure point to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Our Dive Centre and booking office is located at 4 Jeffery Court, Agnes Water. Our boat is located at the 1770 Marina, 535 Captain Cook Drive, Seventeen Seventy.
We visit a variety of reefs throughout the Southern Great Barrier Reef, including Lamont, Fitzroy, Llewellyn, Boult, and Lady Elliot Island when conditions allow. The reef visited depends on weather, sea conditions, and the day’s best diving opportunities. We also take in to consideration where you would like to go, if you have a preference just let us know in the booking comments or give our team a call to find out the locations for the week.
Most of our sites are a 90 minute journey from the 1770 Marina. This can depend on what the conditions are like on the day and also what reef we are visting.
The Southern Great Barrier Reef offers pristine coral, exceptional visibility, fewer crowds, and incredible encounters with manta rays, turtles, reef sharks, humpback whales (seasonal), and vibrant coral ecosystems. We are located only 5.5 hours drive from Brisbane and our town offers an array of various other activities.
